Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor/Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. This role is vital in ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient store management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a background in retail sales and management. Bilingual abilities and experience in marketing, merchandising, and administrative tasks are highly valued to support our diverse customer base and operational needs.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Manage daily store operations including cash handling, POS transactions, and inventory control
- Oversee merchandising strategies, pricing adjustments, and product displays to optimize sales performance
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to foster a motivated and skilled workforce
- Handle payroll processing, budgeting, and bookkeeping activities to ensure financial accuracy
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase store traffic and brand visibility
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching to staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Manage purchasing decisions and vendor relations to maintain inventory levels
- Utilize strong communication skills to resolve customer issues effectively and professionally
Requirements
- Proven supervising or managerial experience within retail or related industries
- Strong leadership capabilities with excellent team management skills
- Proficiency in negotiation, sales management, and store operations
- Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred to serve diverse customer demographics
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, merchandising, pricing strategies, and marketing techniques
- Knowledge of payroll processing, budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
- Demonstrated ability in training & development as well as interviewing prospective employees
- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and financial calculations
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
