Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager -Metals to join our team. The Purchasing Manager - Metals is responsible for leading the development and execution of sourcing strategies across the steel, aluminum, and other metal commodities for the Brandt Group of Companies, operating in North America, New Zealand, and Australia. This role supports all operational units by leveraging supplier and market data to drive sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management. The Purchasing Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders and procurement teams to implement effective sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities across assigned commodities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain and analyze spend data to determine strategic long-term sourcing approaches based on financial impact, business importance, and value opportunities.
- Utilize supplier and market intelligence to support business unit requirements and enhance competitive positioning.
- Lead and support sourcing initiatives including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management and monitoring supplier agreements success.
- Identify, implement, and manage supplier relationships to support Brandt’s business unit requirements.
- Oversee the contracting process including negotiation, preparation, and administration of agreements.
- Track and report measurable financial benefits and procurement performance metrics.
- Develop and issue procurement documents such as RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other sourcing tools.
- Maintain current market information for the categories of responsibility to ensure that Brandt’s prices remain competitive within the confines of existing contracts.
- Provide regular performance updates to leadership and contribute to strategic procurement planning.

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering or relevant experience
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience ideally within Procurement or Supply Chain environments.
