Your Contribution
Our Madawaska mill site is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to support daily sawmill operations. In this role, you will safely and efficiently operate loaders to move logs, lumber, residuals, and other materials throughout the mill site. You will work closely with Sawmill Management and fellow Loader Operators to maintain safe material flow and support the continuous operation of the facility.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience operating wheel loaders or similar heavy equipment
- Strong attention to safety and equipment care
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical awareness and troubleshooting ability
- Reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic

Roles & Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport logs, lumber, wood residuals, and other materials throughout the mill site
- Maintain steady material flow to support continuous mill production
- Inspect equipment daily and complete routine pre-operational safety checks
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Work closely with Sawmill Management, maintenance personnel, and fellow operators to coordinate daily operations
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and safe work practices
- Operate equipment responsibly to minimize downtime, product damage, and unnecessary wear
- Assist with general mill duties and other operational tasks as required
- Maintain awareness of pedestrian traffic, equipment movement, and changing site conditions
- Support a positive team environment through professionalism, communication, and reliability
- Contribute to safe, efficient, and productive mill operations every day
