Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in TCM principles, with experience in patient care within a hospital or clinical setting. This role involves providing holistic treatment options, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other traditional therapies, to promote patient wellness and recovery. The practitioner will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health conditions using traditional diagnostic techniques such as pulse and tongue diagnosis.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating acupuncture, herbal remedies, cupping, moxibustion, and other TCM modalities.
- Administer treatments safely and effectively while ensuring patient comfort and understanding of procedures.
- Monitor patient progress throughout treatment courses and adjust therapies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, dietary recommendations, and self-care practices aligned with TCM principles.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and other medical practitioners to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in TCM practices and integrate new techniques into treatments as appropriate.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a hospital or clinical environment specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
- Strong background in patient care with excellent communication skills to educate and reassure patients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to TCM and general healthcare practices.
- Certification or licensing as required by local healthcare authorities for practicing TCM.
- Ability to work compassionately, maintaining professionalism while building trust with patients.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development to stay current with evolving TCM methodologies.
- Previous experience using Jane is an asset.
- A reliable mode of transportation in required.
