Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment and determine the extent of the repair.
- Repair and replace defective parts, components or systems
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Assemble parts and components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure it meets manufacture's specifications
- Utilize welding skills for repairing metal components.
- Operate heavy equipment as necessary during repair processes.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working with heavy machinery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Capable of repairing a wide range of civil construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, skidsteers, packers, backhoes and dump trucks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Demonstrate commitment to safe work practices
- Comply with all workplace policies and procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel daily to assigned sites

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
