Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, particularly working with older adults in a long-term care facility.
Duties
As an Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing patients’ needs and developing individualized treatment plans based on their specific conditions and goals.
- Implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educating patients and their families about treatment options, progress, and home care strategies.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with medical standards.
- Staying updated on medical terminology and best practices within the field of occupational therapy.
- Providing support in acute care settings, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective therapy services.
Experience
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience is preferred, with a focus on long-term care environments.
- Proven experience in case management and understanding of patient care protocols
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy.
- A valid Occupational Therapy license as required by state regulations.
