Position Overview
We are looking for a Automatic Door Technician to join our New Brunswick service team. This role focuses on installing, servicing, and troubleshooting automatic door systems for commercial and institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair automatic door operators and related hardware
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on automatic door systems
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency service calls
- Test door systems to ensure proper and safe operation
- Read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and service instructions
- Maintain service records and parts inventory
- Represent the company professionally at all job sites
Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or service-based roles
- Knowledge of automatic doors, access systems, or low-voltage
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to lift equipment and work in active job-site environments
- AAADM certification required to ensure proper setup, inspection, and safety compliance of automatic door systems
