Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to lead our Powersports service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong dealership and mechanic experience, with a solid understanding of automotive/powersports repair and mechanical systems. This role offers an opportunity to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive sales growth within a professional and customer-focused environment.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and staff supervision
- Oversee repairs, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, explaining repair options, and maintaining positive relationships
- Lead sales efforts through upselling additional services and maintenance packages to maximize revenue
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper financial records
- Train and mentor technicians and service advisors to improve performance and efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive/powersports service management
- Mechanic experience with extensive mechanical knowledge of vehicles/powersports and repair processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Sales acumen with experience in upselling services to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic financial transactions
- Leadership skills to motivate staff, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting
