Green and Spiegel LLP is seeking a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) Recruitment Specialist – Immigration Case Analyst to join the team. The incumbent will work closely with Immigration Case Analysts, Lawyers and our clients to ensure that the job advertisements needed for the LMIA process are completed in a timely manner and meet set guidelines.
This is a great entry-level role for someone looking to get into immigration law.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(70%) – Processing and Support Functions

Overseeing the job advertisements for the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process including drafting recruitment postings, selecting appropriate advertising platforms, ensuring that advertisements are consistent and monitoring expiration dates

Determining and assessing National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes for assigned files
(20%) – Client Communication

Sending out initiations for files and communicating with clients to obtain required documentation or advise on required changes to documentation previously submitted

Scheduling appointments and meetings with clients for the assigned lawyers on a file

Responding to basic client/lawyer inquiries by email and/or telephone (e.g., expected timelines, questions about recruitment postings)
(10%) – Office Administration

Partnering with Immigration Case Analysts to submit billing requests to Accounting once certain milestones are met

Performing other administrative duties such as scanning, photocopying, faxing and mailing as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree OR a Diploma or Certificate is required

Previous experience in recruitment, immigration and/or a legal administrative role is an asset

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Green and Spiegel reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
