Overview
PVC Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled and dependable Property Maintenance & Renovation Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of renovation, repair, maintenance, and finishing tasks across residential and commercial buildings. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general property maintenance, while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior renovation work to company quality standards.
- Complete drywall installation, repairs, mudding, sanding, and painting.
- Install and repair flooring, trim, baseboards, cabinets, doors, and other finishing components.
- Perform wood framing and general carpentry work as required.
- Conduct routine building maintenance and repairs.
- Perform minor plumbing and electrical troubleshooting and repairs within the scope of the position.
- Prepare residential and commercial spaces for occupancy, including repairs, touch-ups, and finishing work.
- Complete seasonal exterior maintenance, including lawn mowing, debris removal, and general site clean-up as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and project progress through the company’s digital work management system.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe, organized, and professional manner.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and workplace regulations.
- Identify maintenance concerns and communicate recommendations for corrective actions.

- Strong drywall, painting, and finishing skills.
- Proficiency in flooring installation and repairs.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial renovation practices.
- Strong carpentry and framing abilities.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance-related issues.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Comfortable using mobile devices, applications, and digital work-order systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5years of experience in renovations, maintenance, carpentry, or construction.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience with drywall installation and repair, painting, flooring, trim work, cabinet installation, and door installation.
- Experience performing general building maintenance and repairs.
Assets:
- Experience working in occupied residential rental properties.
- Experience operating light equipment and power tools.
- Knowledge of building maintenance software or digital work-order systems.
- Bilingualism (English and French).
