Abbotsford: Full-Time Respite Worker/Mothers Helper Opportunity
We are currently hiring a respite worker to support a family whose parent will be undergoing surgery at the end of August. During the initial stages of recovery, the family will require significant support with daily living tasks, household routines, and caring for two autistic teenage boys with low support needs. Hours will be close to full-time at the beginning and will gradually decrease as the parent's recovery progresses.
Hours:
- Approximately 417–487 hours of work between August and November.
- A detailed schedule is available for serious applicants.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Comfortable assisting with simple meal planning and meal preparation.
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to support a family during a temporary period of increased need.
- Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder
