Job Title: Senior Hardware Application Designer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Hardware Application Designer to support the Site Infrastructure Designs (SID) Hardware team with hardware application design, drafting, and technical documentation activities. This role will contribute to the development and implementation of electrical hardware designs while supporting installation, testing, and ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
- Support the development, modification, and documentation of hardware application designs based on project and customer requirements.
- Assist in selecting appropriate design approaches and maximizing the reuse of existing hardware designs and components.
- Prepare and maintain accurate design documentation and ensure document integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and resolution of hardware-related issues both internally and at project sites.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to hardware application processes and methodologies.
- Participate in installation activities and field testing to ensure successful technical implementation.
- Perform hardware CAD drafting activities for primarily electrical and some mechanical designs.
- Apply logical problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to support effective hardware application design solutions.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while proactively seeking clarification when required.
- Research and reference source documentation to support design activities and technical decisions.

Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary Technologist Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 3–5 years of related industry experience in hardware application design or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, electrical theory, and CAD design principles.
- Proficiency with CAD and engineering tools including MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Experience with Bills of Materials (SAP), Configuration Management, ClearQuest, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.

Pay: $58.30-$61.31 per hour
