Oakcreek Golf & Turf is hiring a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal) - Shop & Field to join our Surrey, British Columbia team.
This role is ideal for a certified technician who enjoys a mix of shop and field service work, takes pride in diagnosing and repairing OEM equipment, and is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a well-established company.

What You’ll Be Working On
- Toro commercial turf equipment, Yamaha golf cars, Ventrac equipment and PistenBully snowcats
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Equipment used across golf, turf, municipal, and mountain and ski resort environments
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in both shop and field environments
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, inspections)
- Inspect equipment to detect faults and determine required repairs
- Install accessories and attachments (decks, blades, winches, canopies, etc.)
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective components using hand and power tools
- Test repaired equipment to ensure performance meets manufacturer specifications
- Travel to customer sites as required to perform on-site service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
What You Bring
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal) (required)
- 3–5+ years of related work experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Advanced hydraulic and electrical diagnostic experience (preferred)
- Experience with computer-based diagnostics (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond with a sense of urgency
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally (for training, if required)
Additional Information
- Position is based in Surrey, BC branch with a mix of shop and field service work
- Standard hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
- Overtime may be required from time to time
- Company vehicle provided for field service calls
- Candidates are required to supply their own standard tools (specialty tools provided)
- Travel for manufacturer training (including U.S. or international) may be required
