Duties
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and asphalt to and from construction sites.
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
- Perform pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate heavy equipment, including backhoes and loaders.
- Assist in horizontal drilling operations when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the dump truck and associated equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols while operating machinery on-site.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically dump trucks.
- Knowledge of construction processes, including building, bulldozing, digging, paving, and mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with backhoe operation and loader operation is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
