Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Painter to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle exteriors to restore them to their original condition. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of automotive painting techniques. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued to ensure high-quality results and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Mix and match paint colors accurately to match vehicle specifications
- Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, ensuring smooth and even coats
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and perform touch-ups as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely during the painting process
- Assist with minor mechanical repairs or adjustments when necessary
- Drug and alcohol screening
- Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and spray painting
Skills
- Experience with axalta and cromax paint and paint software
- Industrial painting background preferred
- Familiar with pressure pot painting
- Ability to paint from ladders and under heavy equiptment (Semi trucks)
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment used in auto body painting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or supplies
- Experience with automotive repair is advantageous for understanding vehicle structures and surfaces
- Blasted and new metal paint experience required

- Excellent attention to detail for color matching and surface finishing
Pay: $20.17-$45.00 per hour
