Help Lead One of Fredericton's Most Recognized Bakery Brands
The Happy Baker has grown into one of Fredericton's most recognized bakery and café brands, serving the community through five locations with exceptional baked goods, fresh food, outstanding coffee, and genuine hospitality.
As a division of Bella Hospitality Group, we're looking for an experienced Director of Bakery Operations to join our leadership team and help take an already successful local business to the next level.
This isn't just a management position — it's a chance to build people, improve systems, solve problems, and drive operational excellence across all Happy Baker locations, working directly alongside ownership.
What You'll Do
Operational Leadership
- Provide leadership and operational support across all Happy Baker locations
- Ensure consistent, exceptional customer service, food quality, and cleanliness
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally
Leadership & Team Development
- Coach, mentor, and develop location managers and supervisors
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and leadership development
- Lead performance reviews and leadership meetings
Financial Performance
- Monitor labour costs, food costs, waste, and operating expenses
- Review weekly and monthly financial reports
- Partner with ownership to improve profitability
- Help prepare annual operating budgets
Systems & Process Improvement
- Develop and improve operational systems, policies, and procedures
- Improve scheduling, inventory management, and purchasing
- Ensure consistency across all locations
Customer Experience & Growth
- Maintain high standards for food quality and guest service
- Support new location openings and future growth initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hospitality or multi-unit operational leadership experience
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- Excellent financial and business acumen (labour, inventory, food costs, budgets)
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- A passion for hospitality and building great teams
- Valid driver's licence with the ability to travel between locations

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
