Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Manager to lead our team and oversee daily salon operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail and salon management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent client experiences, and maintaining the overall profitability and efficiency of the salon. Bilingual skills and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to foster a welcoming environment for diverse clientele.
Duties
- Lead and supervise salon staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Manage scheduling to ensure optimal coverage during operating hours
- Oversee retail sales, merchandising, and product purchasing to maximize revenue
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
- Monitor pricing strategies and sales targets to meet business objectives
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards within the salon
- Conduct regular team meetings to promote communication, training & development, and team cohesion
- Manage store operations including POS systems, inventory control, and administrative tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management, store management, or salon management with supervising experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills
- Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and marketing techniques
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff
- Organizational skills with effective time management capabilities
- Customer service-oriented mindset with professional phone etiquette and organizational skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively
