Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Cook / Baker. This role is essential in creating beautiful lunch plates, as well as helping in our baking department. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in baking and decorating, and will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and scratch bake a variety of goods including cakes, pastries, and bread while adhering to recipes and food safety standards.
- Create lunch plates and baked goods with creativity and attention to detail to enhance presentation.
- Make lunches during very busy service and maintain high quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist in packaging baked goods for display or customer orders, ensuring products are presented attractively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the lunch & bakery section, including inventory management and stock replenishment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery or restaurant setting is preferred, showcasing skills in food preparation and cooking.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with packaging products for sale is a plus.
