Our group services improve patient access and increase options for mental health services, promote self-management and collaborative care. We provide various adult and youth groups using evidence-based treatments such as ACT, CBT, DBT, EFFT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and self-compassion.
Your Opportunity:
As an Occasional Part-time Mental Health Group Facilitator, you will be part of a team that provides groups to patients of the Hamilton Family Health Team and community. All groups are co-facilitated with another mental health practitioner, which is a great way to get to know colleagues in the field. Facilitators appreciate the flexibility of providing either in-person or virtual groups. Since most of our groups are offered in the evening, many facilitators are able to do a group, in addition to their part, or full-time jobs. Facilitators often feel that the group work is rewarding and empowering, as they see growth, and hear the gratitude from group participants.
We are looking for a group facilitator who has…
- Mental health clinical training, generally acquired through the completion of post graduate studies and membership in a professional college
- Clinical work experience including strong group facilitation skills
- Knowledge and experience providing evidence-based treatment such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EFFT, etc. an asset
- Proof of Covid 19 immunization and Criminal
- Records Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening

Salary: $49.49/hour
