Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. This role involves both serving customers and managing cash transactions, ensuring that all guests receive top-notch service while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Utilize the Micros POS system to accurately process orders and handle cash transactions.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure that all food handling practices comply with safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and cashier station.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and ensure accurate cash register operations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
- Adhere to sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, with a strong understanding of food service operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
