Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Field Heavy Equipment Technician to support our forestry and logging operations in the Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario region. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy logging equipment (skidders, feller bunchers, delimbers, and log loaders) in remote, off-road environments. Because this is a strictly field-based role, candidates must supply their own fully equipped service truck and standard heavy-duty mechanic tools.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty forestry and logging equipment in remote field locations.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and major component overhauls in all weather conditions.
- Work independently
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators and site supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
Experience
- Qualified red seal heavy duty mechanic
- Fully licensed G class
- WSIB work clearance

Pay: $105.00-$130.00 per hour
