Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
- Assist customers with merchandise selection, upselling relevant products to increase sales
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card payments
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention
- Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
- Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, phone etiquette, and active listening
- Handle cashier responsibilities including processing transactions efficiently and accurately
- Support store cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive shopping environment
- Engage in time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technical sales is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin)
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
- Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features clearly
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours and multi-task efficiently
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and cross-selling strategies
- Strong phone etiquette and organizational skills for managing customer inquiries
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
