“Marketing Coordinator”
(Digital Marketing, Content, Brand & Training Coordination)
WearCheck is currently seeking a creative, digitally skilled, and results-oriented Marketing Coordinator, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated marketing professional to play a key role in our growth - building brand awareness, generating leads, and coordinating our industry-leading training programs across Canada and the USA.
1. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Digital Marketing, Lead Generation
- Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel digital marketing campaigns (LinkedIn, Google, email, web) to drive qualified leads and increase brand awareness for WearCheck and Lubrigard.
- Manage and grow WearCheck’s LinkedIn presence and other social media platforms, developing engaging, industry-relevant content on a consistent publishing schedule.
- Develop and execute targeted email marketing campaigns across key industrial segments.
- Track, measure, and report on Marketing KPIs to assess effectiveness and ROI of all campaigns, events, and marketing activities.
- Implement and manage lead generation programs - track lead sources, build a structured pipeline in coordination with the sales team, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Support CRM-integrated marketing platform to align Sales and Marketing processes.
Content Creation, Brand
- Create compelling marketing materials including case studies, brochures, sell sheets, technical articles, blog posts, and video scripts to promote WearCheck and Lubrigard products and services.
- Produce and manage customer success story videos, Lubrigard product demonstrations, and product testimonials for the website, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Maintain consistent WearCheck Canada and Lubrigard brand standards across all platforms and customer-facing touchpoints, including Lubrigard-branded equipment, PODs, and accessories.
- Implement QR code programs on Lubrigard-branded equipment and parts.
- Develop targeted marketing campaigns aligned to key industry segments.
- Develop marketing assets to support distributor and partner programs.
Website, Digital Platforms, Tools
- Manage and update WearCheck and Lubrigard websites; ensure content is current, compelling, and optimized for search (SEO).
- Support the promotion and adoption of WearCheck’s digital platforms with customers.
- Organize and segment the customer database for effective, targeted marketing campaigns and training outreach.
- Develop and maintain a structured lead and registration tracking process to ensure all enquiries are routed and followed up promptly.
Training Program Management
WearCheck offers a range of industry training programs. The Marketing Coordinator will own the end-to-end communication and promotion of all WearCheck training events:
- Develop and execute promotional campaigns for all training events - email campaigns, LinkedIn promotions, website listings, partner communications, and targeted outreach to maximize registrations and attendance.
- Work closely with the VP Sales and support staff to manage end-to-end logistics for onsite and offsite training events: venue sourcing and booking, catering, A/V and equipment, course materials preparation and shipping, and day-of coordination.
- Manage attendee registration, confirmation communications, waitlists, reminders, and post-event follow-up to drive ongoing engagement and sales opportunities.
- Develop, maintain, and improve all training course materials, workbooks, handouts, and slide decks in collaboration with the technical and sales teams.
- Manage training calendars across Canada and the USA, plan events well in advance with sufficient lead time for effective promotion and strong fill rates.
- Develop and manage online/virtual training delivery options to expand reach into geographies where in-person attendance is a challenge.
- Track and report on training event KPIs: registrations, attendance, leads generated, and post-event follow-through.
- Coordinate promotion of MLA/MLT/OMA certification training and ICML-aligned programs.
Customer Engagement, Onboarding, Events
- Work directly with the General Manager to manage and promote customer onboarding programs to ensure new clients are educated, engaged, and set up for long-term success.
- Support continuous improvement of the end-to-end customer experience.
- Manage customer satisfaction programs; share insights with the Sales and Management teams to support retention and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate WearCheck’s participation in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events; manage pre-show promotions, booth materials, and post-show follow-up programs.
- Assist the Sales team in preparing targeted presentations, proposal templates, and segment-specific marketing collateral.
Collaboration, Analytics, Reporting
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Lab, and Customer Service teams to align marketing and training activities with commercial priorities.
- Provide regular marketing performance reports to the COO and leadership team, tracking campaign effectiveness, website traffic, lead volumes, social engagement, and training results.
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to support continuous improvement and strategic planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
Day in the Life of the Marketing Coordinator
A typical week combines creating and scheduling social media and email content, developing marketing materials with the Sales team, managing training event logistics and promotions, updating the website, analyzing campaign performance, and supporting trade show planning. This is a hybrid role based out of Burlington, ON with occasional travel to training venues, industry events, and customer sites. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment, is highly organized and self-directed, and takes genuine pride in seeing marketing and training efforts translate directly into sales results.
2. Knowledge and Experience Requirements
This role is well-suited to a marketing professional with 2–5 years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to B2B, industrial, or technical services sectors. The successful candidate will bring:
- 2-5 years of experience in a digital marketing, marketing communications, or content marketing role - B2B or technical/industrial sector experience is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated experience managing social media channels (particularly LinkedIn), email marketing platforms, and website tools.
- Experience coordinating events, training programs, or conferences - including venue logistics, attendee management, course materials, and promotional campaigns - is a significant asset.
- Experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insights, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or equivalent).
- Strong content creation skills - ability to develop compelling written and visual content for a technical audience, including articles, video scripts, social posts, presentations, and sales collateral.
- Familiarity with digital advertising (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads) and lead generation concepts.
- Experience with a CRM system (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent) is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS365 and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools to maximize efficiency and innovation is a key required asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Proficiency in French is a valued asset.
- Strong organizational and project management skills - ability to manage multiple campaigns, training events, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, creative, collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic and pride in results.
3. Educational Level
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience and demonstrated marketing competency will be considered alongside formal education.
- A certificate in Digital Marketing (e.g., Google Digital Garage, HubSpot Academy) is viewed favourably.
- Knowledge of industrial sectors such as oil analysis, lubrication, predictive maintenance, or maintenance reliability is a valued asset.
4. Working Conditions and Requirements
- This is a permanent full-time position based at WearCheck’s Burlington, ON headquarters, with a hybrid work arrangement available after an onboarding and performance establishment period.
- You must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada.
- Occasional travel to training venues, industry events, trade shows, or customer sites across Canada and the USA may be required.
- Occasional attendance at industry events, trade shows, or training outside normal business hours.
- Occasional work outside standard hours may be required.
