Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Analyst specializing in Real Estate to join our dynamic team. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Real Estate Investment and Development, the Analyst will support the evaluation and execution of real estate opportunities. The individual will assist with financial analysis, market research, underwriting, and due diligence processes while collaborating with various stakeholders involved in acquisition and development projects. The role will also involve supporting operational and asset management activities across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite potential investment, acquisition, development, and private lending opportunities across various asset classes, including multi-residential, hospitality, industrial, office, and retail properties
- Prepare financial models, forecasts, and sensitivity analyses to support investment, and lending decisions
- Conduct market research, comparable analysis, and due diligence to evaluate market trends, asset performance, and investment opportunities
- Prepare acquisition summaries, underwriting packages, investment memorandums, and presentations for management and investors.
- Collaborate with the construction, accounting, legal, leasing and asset management teams throughout the underwriting and execution process
- Support the monitoring and reporting of ongoing projects and portfolio performance
- Support the team with day-to-day operational activities
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress in finance, commerce, economics, real estate, or a related field
- Strong interest in real estate investment, development, and financial analysis. Previous experience in real estate or a related industry is considered a strong asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of financial modeling and valuation concepts
- Fluent in both English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, punctual, and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with different teams
