Position Overview
We are currently looking for a motivated, dependable, and eager-to-learn Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is either currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program or looking to begin their career in the automotive trade.
As an Apprentice Technician, you will work alongside experienced, licensed technicians who will mentor and guide you through daily tasks, helping you build practical skills and industry knowledge. You will gain exposure to a wide range of vehicle systems, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques in a professional dealership setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist licensed technicians with a variety of vehicle maintenance and repair tasks
Perform routine services such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks
Support diagnostic procedures using modern tools and computerized equipment
Learn to identify mechanical and electrical issues under supervision
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times
Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
Registered in, or willing to register in, an Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship program in Ontario
Previous hands-on experience (school, co-op, or personal projects) is considered an asset
Strong interest in automotive repair and technology
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and follow direction from senior team members
Good communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Valid G driver’s license is mandatory
