Village Auto Group is looking to hire a hard-working, positive, out-going Automotive Detailer to join our team.
Join our team at Village Auto Sales as a full-time Auto Detailer.
What you’ll do:
- Full interior cleaning: vacuum carpets/seats, blow out crevices, wipe/steam clean plastics and vinyl, shampoo/stain-treat carpet and upholstery, clean and condition leather, sanitize high-touch areas, deodorize, clean vents and cupholders, trunk/cargo areas.
- Exterior wash and finish: pre-rinse, wash / dry, decontaminate (iron/tar as needed), clean door jambs, windows, mirrors, fuel doors, apply wax/sealant, basic polish on light defects, dress tires and exterior trim.
- Minor paint work: stone-chip touch-ups, light scratch/scuff reduction, wet sand and polish small areas per guidance, color-matching with pens/brushes
- Wheels and engine bay: clean wheels, tires, and wells; degrease and dress safely; light engine bay wipe-down
- Quality control: follow checklists, inspect work under different lighting, meet delivery deadlines, rework if needed.
- Vehicle handling: safely move vehicles on-site/off-site as directed
- Chemical and tool care: mix and label chemicals properly, maintain pads/brushes/towels, report equipment issues, keep bay clean and organized.
What we’re looking for:

- Attention to detail: sees small imperfections, follows process and checklists, delivers consistent, high-quality results.
- Physical ability: stand/walk for long periods, bend/kneel/reach, work indoors/outdoors with heat/cold and water exposure.
- Time management: prioritize tasks, hit same-day deadlines, adapt when schedules change.
- Safety and care: handle chemicals and tools per instructions, protect paint and interiors
- Communication and teamwork: clear, respectful communication; take direction and give status updates; help teammates to meet targets.
- License: valid driver’s license
- Experience: detailing or body shop experience is a plus, but not required, full training provided.
