Summary:
The Professional Development Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality online training in communication, leadership, workplace effectiveness, proposal writing, meeting procedures, and employability skills programs. The instructor equips participants with the professional and interpersonal skills needed to succeed in today’s workplace through interactive facilitation, practical learning activities, participant assessment, coaching, and ongoing mentorship.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver virtual instruction for Communication, Proposal Writing, Management Skills for Supervisors, Meeting Procedures and Minute Taking, and Skills for Success programs
- Develop lesson plans, instructional resources, learning activities, case studies, and assessments that align with established learning objectives
- Lead engaging online training sessions that promote learner participation, teamwork, and practical application of workplace skills
- Provide instruction in professional communication, leadership, workplace etiquette, proposal development, meeting coordination, collaboration, negotiation, conflict management, and employability skills
- Monitor participant progress and provide timely feedback, guidance, coaching, and learner support
- Evaluate learner performance and maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and assessments
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and learner-focused virtual classroom environment.
- Integrate practical workplace examples, current industry practices, and real-world scenarios into course instruction
- Maintain ongoing communication with WWSTC staff regarding participant progress, attendance, and program delivery requirements
- Ensure program delivery meets organizational policies, quality standards, and learner expectations
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Education, Leadership, Public Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in management, supervision, human resources, communications, workforce development, training, or business operations
- Demonstrated experience in workplace communication, report writing, proposal writing, meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, and employee supervision
- Experience facilitating workshops, delivering training, or teaching adult learners
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Management, Leadership, Human Resources, Project Management, Adult Education, or Training certifications
- Experience developing business proposals, reports, policies, meeting minutes, and workplace documentation
- Experience working with diverse learners, newcomers, job seekers, or workforce development programs
