Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve engaging with customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the café. The ideal candidate for this position has prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and is capable of multitasking effectively.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment, following food safety guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Stay knowledgeable about menu items and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cashiering and cash handling procedures is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
Requirements
- 1 Year Barista Experience is required, Weekend availability is also required.
