Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Helper to join our team. As a Delivery Helper, you will assist in the safe and efficient delivery of flooring material to our customers. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions. You will occassionally be required to drive a 1 ton or 5 ton cube trucks, so experience driving and knowledge of Edmonton and Surrounding area's would be benificial.
Duties:
- Assist the driver in loading and unloading flooring from the truck to sites
- Safely secure items in the delivery vehicle to prevent damage during transportation
- Follow delivery routes and schedules provided with safety procedures & rules.
- Communicate effectively with the driver and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional at all times
- Assist with basic maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle, such as checking fuel levels and tire pressure etc.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including organizing and preparing items for delivery, & cleaning.
Skills:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Basic knowledge of forklift operation is a plus
- Valid class 5 license required
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries and documentation
- Ability to work independently and follow instruction
