Part-Time Retail Associate

Tots Treasure Trunk is a locally owned store specializing in infant and maternity merchandise. We are currently seeking a reliable, mature, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Retail Associate.
This role is best suited for someone who is confident working independently, communicates clearly and professionally with customers, and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming retail environment. Employees often work independently, the ideal candidate must be responsible, organized, and comfortable operating the store with minimal supervision.
Availability
Applicants must have open availability between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM during store hours.
Store Hours
- Monday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed

This is a part-time position (12-20 hours per week) with 4–5 hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and/or closing the store independently
- Processing sales and handling cash transactions accurately
- Providing attentive and knowledgeable customer service
- Answering phone calls and assisting customers with product inquiries
- Recommending products and identifying sales opportunities
- Stocking and organizing merchandise
- Completing end-of-shift cash outs
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
- Light cleaning duties
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is:
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Comfortable working independently without direct supervision
- Organized with strong time-management skills
- Friendly, approachable, and confident assisting customers
- Detail-oriented when handling cash and transactions
- Goal-oriented with the ability to recommend and upsell products appropriately
Communication Requirements
Because this role involves frequent interaction with customers in person and by phone, applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and be highly comfortable communicating clearly and professionally with customers.
Preferred Experience
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Interest in or familiarity with infant, maternity, and postpartum products
