THE ROLE
As a Commercial Roofer at Thorpe Industries Ltd., you will work under the guidance of our Crew Foremen - or lead crews if in a Foreman role - to install, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial roofing systems.
You will work on organized job sites delivering high-quality installations, maintenance, and technical repairs across commercial projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems (SBS, BUR, TPO, EPDM, PVC).
- Perform leak investigations and execute effective repairs where required.
- Work as part of a team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.
- Follow all company and provincial safety protocols, including FLRAs (Field Level Risk Assessments).
- Communicate effectively with team members and foremen to ensure project success.
- (Foreman role) Accurately report labor, materials usage, and site hazards.
- Maintain productivity and quality to meet project schedules and client expectations.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Proven experience in commercial flat roofing is an asset (Foreman/Journeyman roles require demonstrated experience).
- Knowledge of SBS, TPO, EPDM, BUR, and PVC systems preferred.
- Ability to execute high-quality work and “first-time-right” repairs.
- Valid Fall Protection certification required (additional safety or manufacturer certifications are assets).
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Willingness to travel to job sites, including out-of-town work (expenses covered).
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the company.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening (required for certain project sites).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00-$93,600.00 per year
