Gillis Lodge Nursing Home has been providing compassionate, person-centred care to seniors since 1987. Located in beautiful rural Prince Edward Island, our home is built around our motto — “A Caring Community.” We are a small family-owned and operated home with 93 nursing care resdients and 5 community care residents.
Position Summary:
As an LPN at Gillis Lodge, you will play an essential role in providing quality nursing care and support to our residents. You’ll work collaboratively with the care team to promote comfort, safety, and dignity while ensuring residents’ individual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with residents’ care plans and professional standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and document residents’ health status, reporting changes to the RN and/or physician.
- Support residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and participate in care planning.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff.
- Maintain accurate and confidential resident records.
- Promote a positive and respectful environment for residents, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of PEI (CLPNPEI).
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is an asset.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification considered an asset.

Pay: $31.00-$39.50 per hour

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
Experience:
- LTC (Nursing Home) : 1 year (preferred)
