Accounting Assistant – Account Payable Clerk
Shift: Monday through Friday Hours: 7am-3pm
Research Casting International is one of the world’s leading providers of Museum Technical Services which includes specimen restoration, casting, mounting, exhibit fabrication, and transportation. Our staff are dedicated to the restoration and preservation and of the world’s most valuable paleontological specimens and artifacts.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to support our day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, some hands-on bookkeeping experience, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting operations including accounts payable
- Process accounts payable postings and perform reconciliations
- Prepare month-end entries
- Maintain accurate financial records and provide timely reporting to senior leadership
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Maintain vendor contracts and pricing
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives as needed
- Resolve accounts receivable discrepancies for accurate project billing
- Collaborate with Project Managers on project specific accounting needs
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and workflows
Qualifications
- 1-4 years hands-on accounting assistant experience
- Strong proficiency with Excel
- Experience with both digital and physical filing systems
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Experience or Proficiency with Zoho Books an asset
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
