Overview
UP Fundraising is looking for a motivated and energetic Junior Recruiter to help build high-performing fundraising teams across Canada. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands what it takes to recruit successful face-to-face fundraisers. You'll play a key role in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating candidates for our hospital, retail, private site, and door-to-door fundraising campaigns. Success in this role requires excellent organization, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining an exceptional candidate experience.
Duties
- Recruit high volumes of face-to-face fundraisers across multiple Canadian markets.
- Source candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, job boards, networking, and direct outreach.
- Actively headhunt high-performing fundraisers and sales professionals from relevant industries.· Screen resumes and conduct initial phone or virtual interviews.
- Assess candidates for communication skills, resilience, professionalism, and cultural fit.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Schedule and confirm 5–10 new hires each week for orientation and onboarding.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and fundraising leaders.
- Maintain accurate applicant records.
- Ensure all recruitment documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Track recruitment metrics including applicant flow, interview-to-hire ratios, and source effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Experience recruiting sales representatives, canvassers, promoters, customer-facing staff, or face-to-face fundraisers.
- Demonstrated success recruiting multiple positions simultaneously.
- Experience using Indeed Recruiter and other online sourcing platforms.
- Experience scheduling and coordinating large volumes of interviews and onboarding sessions.
- Previous experience recruiting for: Door-to-door sales, Face-to-face fundraising, Retail sales, Brand ambassadors, customer acquisition teams.
- Experience working within a nonprofit or fundraising organization an asset.
- Familiarity with donor acquisition or face-to-face fundraising is considered a strong asset.

Pay: $53,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
