Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and assisting with financial reporting. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the accounting team to maintain efficient financial operations and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reception - handle incoming phone calls.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank reconciliations, to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support payroll processing by verifying employee hours and assisting with payroll-related inquiries.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for easy retrieval during audits or reviews.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or a related field is preferred, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, payroll, budgeting, and bookkeeping practices.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within the finance team and across departments.
- A degree or certificate in accounting.
