Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Our client is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join their growing maintenance team within a large-scale industrial manufacturing environment. This organization is a well-established producer of infrastructure and construction materials, supporting major projects across municipal, transportation, and industrial sectors throughout Canada.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting daily production operations in a safety-focused workplace.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty equipment and mobile machinery
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize operational disruptions
- Support ongoing equipment reliability and performance initiatives
- Operate tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with welding and minor fabrication work when required

Qualifications
- Red Seal 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or 310T Truck and Coach Technician certification
- Experience repairing and maintaining diesel-powered heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Welding and fabrication experience is considered an asset
- Reliable transportation
