Kettlemans Is seeking full-time Store Supervisor for our Trainyards location in Ottawa.
Shift timings: 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, 2pm to 10pm
- Full time: 30-40 hours (5 days per week)
A day in the life
- You are accountable for the experience of your team and your guests. You oversee the operations on the floor and ensure that that every guest receives an outstanding experience, and you speak authentically about our product.
- You have strong time management skills, strategically manage the day-to-day operations on the floor, and can prioritize and adapt to daily business needs in the moment, giving feedback and direction when needed
- You are knowledgeable and up to date on all products, priorities, new rollouts.
- You are conducting thorough store walkthroughs and fixing any issues that are identified
- Conducting a pre-shift with the entire team on the floor. At this stage you are communicating the goals of the day and assigning tasks
- You lead the team in preparing the store for the day including preparing prep lists, checking the freshness of all food and beverages, assigning and following up on cleaning tasks, ensuring daily checklists are completed
- 30 minutes prior to breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper rushes, you are ensuring everything is ready for the subsequent service
- You utilize Point of Sale system, process payments, refunds and issue gift cards and resolve in-store guest issues
- You are aware of company safety policies and procedures and you work in partnership with your team to ensure a safe workplace
- You receive product and unpack, count and store as required. Replenishing product on the floor, with overflow stock in back room and stored areas
- You are responsible for inventory management including receiving, processing, restocking + destocking, and visual merchandising
- You leverage all necessary tools to manage the store business operations in overseeing the labour targets at the store
- Handing over the shift to the next supervisor
Under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, you perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request
Qualifications:
- All employees’ availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time. The Store Manager determines the availability needs, and this schedule could include a combination of shift times, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Kettlemans Bagel reserves the right to make amendments to the schedule and/ or availability requirements from time to time and at its sole discretion
- All employees are expected to be available to work on statutory holidays, game days, events/concert days and from the second week of December (the start of the second week, until the end of the holiday season.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of post-secondary education will be considered an asset
- Applicants are a minimum of 18 years of age
- Management experience preferred
