We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Manufacturing Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and CAD design, with a focus on custom fabrications and supporting the production process. Pay Rate: $28 - $32 hourly
Shift Times: Day Shift
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare engineering fabrication packages and process documentation for custom fabrications.
- Create CAD layouts for formed parts and drawings for plasma/laser cutting.
- Design fixtures and templates to improve manufacturability.
- Produce detailed drawings, final specifications, bills of material, and costing.
- Meet with clients/project managers to establish design briefs and requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to develop design concepts and calculate material consumption.
- Investigate manufacturing quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Work with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements.
- Assist in quoting new parts and inspect welds and fabrication quality.
- Support the weld shop with drawing questions, fit-up issues, and weld procedures.
- Manage projects from start to finish and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Occasionally travel to clients’ facilities for feasibility evaluations.
What You’ll Need to Qualify:
- Mechanical/Manufacturing/Welding Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant manufacturing/fabrication experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is a must (Autocad and Excel are also preferred).
- Ability to understand manufacturing floor processes, material specifications, and costing.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Cost-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize workload.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
