Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. This role involves engaging with youth and young adults in a supportive environment, fostering their development and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with complex needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, and strong teaching skills. Duties
- Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to help youth develop social, emotional, and life skills
- Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants
- Collaborate with team members to support individual goals and progress
- Monitor behavior and intervene as necessary to promote respectful interactions
- Support educational and recreational programs designed to enhance learning and personal growth
- Maintain accurate records of participation, progress, and incidents as required
Requirements
- Prior experience working with youth or individuals with complex needs is highly preferred
- Strong communication and teaching skills to effectively engage youth of diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and ability to handle challenging situations calmly
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on individual needs and program goals
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to fostering a positive environment for youth
- A background check may be required to ensure safety for all participants
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
