The Opportunity
Reporting to the IT Manager – Business Engagement, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the implementing of technology solutions to the business in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or user request, and communicating effectively with stakeholders, facilitators and business users to obtain their endorsement. The Senior Business Analyst will conduct/ steer system test and user acceptance test, support the implementation and to conduct post-implementation review.
You Will
- To work with business users to understand their business problems and translate that knowledge into a technical solution
- Document workflows and results of business analysis in the System Requirement Specification (SRS) and obtain sign-off from business users
- Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process differentiation
- Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing process
- Prepare test plan and test cases for User Acceptance Tests and End-To-End tests and if applicable coordinate and execute the tests
- Prepare training and user manual
- Facilitate the implementation of new system / service through training sessions, demos, development of appropriate documentation, and on-site system operation support where necessary
- Conduct post-implementation review with internal and external parties to identify areas of improvement for immediate or subsequent enhancement
- Assist in the routine system audits that include data reliability and integrity check as well as security control adequacy review of major computer applications as assigned by IT management
- Manage relationships and expectations with business users by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, or other related disciplines
You Should Have / Be
- Possess 5 years or more experience in analyzing and documenting complex business processes, sound knowledge in business application system or related field, and experience in supermarket business operation is a definite advantage
- Good presentation and communication skills; possess highly systematic & analytical problem-solving ability; ability to plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with company policies/procedures
- Service oriented with good interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and responsiveness in completing tasks
- Certification, such as Business Analysis, Project Management or other designation relating to the application of IT in business operation/management is an asset
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
- Knowledge in Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) is an asset

Shift
5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am – 5:30pm (Actual working hours may vary slightly by department, depending on operational needs.)
