We are seeking a Lead Hand to join our team. The Lead Hand will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our line of employees performing manual labor. This includes monitoring performance, providing training, mentorship and coaching to employees and implementing new policies to improve efficiency. The Lead Hand will also be responsible for creating opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing steps to improve quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Language requirement: Chinese&English
- Operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment to move materials within warehouses for shipping
- Performing basic data entry tasks such as scanning bar codes on boxes or other inventory items using a computer system
- Loading and unloading trucks or shipping containers with items that need to be shipped to another location
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials, equipment, and supplies in a warehouse environment
- Operating warehouse equipment to store or retrieve products or materials such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or shelving units
- Ensuring that all warehouse orders are filled accurately and in a timely manner
- Stocking shelves with new inventory items or removing old inventory items as needed
- Maintaining an accurate record of inventory by scanning bar codes on products or recording item details and doing inventory control
- Organizing and storing materials in warehouses to keep them safe and easily accessible
- Managing packing department and warehouse staff
- Doing local order delivery or pick-up
