About Tootsie Tootsie
Tootsie Tootsie is a children’s consignment store focused on making it easier for families to buy and sell pre-loved clothing, toys, baby gear and more. We’re growing and looking for an organized, reliable, and enthusiastic person to help with the day-to-day behind-the-scenes work.
The Role
We’re looking for an assistant to help with photographing and organizing inventory, preparing and packing customer orders, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working independently, is detail-oriented, and loves kids’ products and sustainable shopping.
What You’ll Do
- Photograph children’s clothing, toys, accessories and equipment for the online store
- Organize and sort incoming inventory
- Help prepare, label and organize consignment items
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipping or local delivery
- Keep the workspace organized and inventory easy to find
- Check items for condition, cleanliness and overall presentation
- Help with basic inventory organization and online store tasks
- Assist with general administrative and behind-the-scenes tasks as needed
Bonus: Social Media & Content Creation!
If you enjoy creating content, we’d love to have your creative input! This could include:
- Taking fun photos and videos of new inventory
- Creating Instagram Stories, Reels or TikToks
- Coming up with fun content ideas
- Helping showcase new arrivals
- Capturing behind-the-scenes content
- Helping Tootsie Tootsie grow its social media presence
Who We’re Looking For
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Reliable and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable using a smartphone/camera for product photography
- Able to lift and move boxes/items as needed
- Good eye for detail and presentation
- Comfortable working with children’s clothing and products
- Friendly, positive and easygoing
- Interested in sustainability, second-hand shopping or small businesses
- Creative and social-media savvy is a big bonus!
Experience
Previous retail, photography, e-commerce, inventory, shipping or social media experience is an asset, but not required. We’re more interested in finding someone who is dependable, eager to learn and excited to be part of a growing small business.
