Apprentice Electrician
Full-Time | $22.00–$35.00/hour | 40 hours/week | On-site (Vancouver, BC)
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the electrical trade and eager to develop their skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. You will assist with planning, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using a variety of hand and power tools. Overtime opportunities are available.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Terminate junction boxes and complete PLC terminations.
- Fire alarm maintenance & repairs
- Pull and install technical cable and strap cable trays.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
- Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols, regulations, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and hours worked.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging electrical technologies.
Requirements
- Completion of Electrical Trade Schooling (Apprentice Year 1, 2, 3, or 4).
- Must provide a valid Skilled Trade Number.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Knowledge of the current electrical code book.
- Ability to follow instructions and ask for guidance when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience: 3–4 years
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $22.00–$35.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts
