Position Summary
The Night Auditor supplies a superior level of guest service which will ensure repeat visits, while completing daily hotel revenue audits with the highest degree of efficiency and accuracy as possible. The Night Auditor works autonomously on basic functions, such as checking guests in and out, reconciling accounts, communicating with housekeeping and taking initiative for necessary tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities

Provide a superior level of guest service, including overnight check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and promoting hotel information and revenue-generating facilities

Use proper telephone etiquette in accordance with Delta Hotels standards, answering calls in a timely and professional manner

Accurately handle cash, credit, and billing while adhering to established cash-handling and credit policies

Block incoming reservations for the following day, ensuring special requests and guest needs are noted

Audit, balance, and reconcile all hotel financial transactions, identifying errors, questioning unusual activity, and reporting discrepancies to management or accounting

Prepare and distribute daily, month-end, housekeeping, and financial reports to the appropriate departments and managers

Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to support room readiness and address guest room maintenance issues

Maintain hotel security by issuing room keys, safeguarding guest and associate information, conducting regular security rounds, and securing public and restricted areas

Professionally manage guest concerns, including disruptive guests or unauthorized individuals on hotel property

Work independently overnight, taking initiative to complete required tasks and support overall hotel operations

Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications

2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality as a Night Auditor and hotel front desk supervisory experience, experience handling cash, accounting procedures and general administrative tasks

Possess a positive attitude and works well with other team members

Excellent communication and math skills

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Have a strong knowledge of the hotel and local area

Ability to adopt a sales approach when selling rooms to guest

Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and take initiative to achieve and exceed daily goals; comfortable working alone – unsupervised

Must be willing to work in Kamloops, BC

Salary: $19.29/hr - $21.43/hr
Schedule: Full time, overnight shifts (11pm – 7am) | occasional day shifts depending on business needs
