Founded in 1970, Steele Hotels is an independent hotel operator based out of Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. With origins in Gander, NL the company has grown to include locations in St. John's, NL, Corner Brook, NL, and Fredericton, NB.
Steele Hotels is looking to add a casual Spa Attendant to join our Revival Wellness Centre in St. John’s, NL. As a Spa Attendant, you’ll help create a welcoming, relaxing experience for each and every guest by ensuring the environment is clean, organized, and ready for each service. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Revival team throughout room setup, laundry, stocking, and maintaining guest areas, helping ensure smooth operations.
This role is scheduled mainly on weekends, with additional weekday shifts available during peak seasons or high-demand periods.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the locker and facility area
- Stock room supplies and amenities and maintain accurate supply lists
- Ensuring the spa environment is clean and inviting
- Removes dirty laundry and collects dirty towel and linens in guest areas and takes them to laundry area for washing
- Complete laundry duties, including folding of towels, linens, and robes
- Assisting with the set-up and break-down of the spa area
- Provide support to the Wellness Centre team during busy weekends and peak periods
- Respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and notified to management of any accident or injury
- Demonstrate a professional and positive presentation to guests and colleagues, and be well groomed
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
- Provide a clear Criminal Record Screening Certificate
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well with guests and the public
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, early mornings, and holidays
