Thunder Bay Pulp & Paper is a leading northern bleached softwood kraft producer. Located on Lake Superior, the Thunder Bay mill has been a landmark company of northwestern Ontario since 1919. In August 2023, Atlas Holdings established Thunder Bay Pulp & Paper as an independent pulp and paper operation, joining Atlas’ global family of manufacturing and distribution businesses.

We are looking for a 2nd Class Power Engineer to join our team to fill a current vacancy. The successful candidate must have a 2nd Class Certificate and have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position is scheduled to work a four on, four off 12-hour shift rotation. The rate of pay depends on the position worked and candidates must have a 2nd Class Certificate at the time of applying for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a crew in the Steam Plant, Recovery and Recaust Departments.
- Monitor various systems throughout the site including air, water and steam.
- Works cooperatively with other operating departments and trades.
