Senior Project Manager — HRIS Implementation
Greater Toronto Area (hybrid) | Full-time, permanent | $120,000 – $140,000 CAD per year
About Us
BrydonGama is a Toronto-based IT recruiting and staffing firm, connecting organizations with high-caliber technology and business talent. We are recruiting this role on behalf of an established manufacturing company with operations across North America.
The Role
Our client is investing heavily in enterprise transformation — modernizing systems, data, and automation across the business — and HR technology is next. We are hiring a Senior Project Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of a major HRIS implementation (Workday or SAP SuccessFactors) and the transformation projects surrounding it: from chartering and governance through planning, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
You will partner with IT and business leaders to lead cross-functional project teams, keep scope, cost, schedule, and quality on track, and make sure the projects deliver the outcomes the business signed up for — not just the milestones.
What You’ll Do
- Define project priorities, objectives, scope, and deliverables with business sponsors and delivery partners, aligned to business goals.
- Develop and manage project plans, milestones, risks, issues, and deliverables — with transparent, timely reporting of status and financials.
- Lead project teams and stakeholders through the full lifecycle, adapting to resource constraints and shifting priorities without losing delivery momentum.
- Drive cross-functional problem-solving: run the discussions that resolve uncertainty, surface risk, and keep the critical path honest.
- Plan and lead stage-gate and quality assurance reviews at major milestones; enforce change request governance.
- Manage transition to business-as-usual — go-live is the start of stabilization, not the finish line.
- Travel within North America as needed.
What You Bring
- Project management of at least one full-lifecycle HRIS implementation (Workday or SAP SuccessFactors) — planning, governance, scope, risk, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization. This is the core requirement.
- 10+ years delivering complex, enterprise-wide, multi-region initiatives and related technology implementations — manufacturing environment experience an asset.
- University degree in Business, IT, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 (or equivalent experience). Change management certification (CCMP, CM2) an asset.
- Fluency across delivery methodologies — Waterfall, Agile, SAFe — with a bias toward iterative value delivery.
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders from working teams to executives, with urgency and without drama.
- Comfort with ambiguity: you can pivot from shaping strategy to unblocking the day-to-day, and you challenge the status quo constructively.
- French language ability an asset.
Additional Information
- Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 CAD annually, plus comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, retirement savings, and education assistance.
- Hybrid work model based in the east Greater Toronto Area.
