Job Summary
Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the Fuel & Lube Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an articulated fuel & lube truck while supporting the maintenance and reliability of the site's mobile mining fleet. This role performs refueling, lubrication, fluid servicing, and basic equipment inspections in the field to help maximize equipment availability and support continuous mining operations.
Key Responsibilities

Operate an articulated fuel & lube truck safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Refuel and service mobile mining equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, and auxiliary equipment.

Perform routine lubrication and preventative maintenance services, including greasing components and replenishing engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and other required lubricants.

Conduct pre-operational inspections of the fuel & lube truck and ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.

Complete field-level risk assessments and adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.

Inspect equipment for leaks, damage, excessive wear, or other maintenance concerns and report findings to the appropriate personnel.

Maintain accurate service records, fuel logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.

Communicate effectively with equipment operators, dispatch, and maintenance personnel using two-way radio systems.

Maintain clean work areas and ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of fuels, lubricants, and related products.

Contribute to a positive team environment while supporting safe and productive mining operations.
Experience/Skillset Required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fuel & Lube Technician, Service Truck Operator, or similar role in a mining, heavy equipment, or industrial environment.

Valid Class G Driver's Licence

Experience operating articulated off-road equipment is considered a strong asset.

Strong understanding of lubrication practices, fluid management, and preventative maintenance principles.

Ability to work safely in a high-production mining environment and follow established procedures.

Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
