Cross Country is a leading Canadian manufacturer in the aggregate and transportation industry. We are currently seeking a full-time CNC/Plasma Table Operator to join our team.
As a CNC Plasma Table Operator, you play an important role in the production of Cross Country Mfg. trailers. Working as part of a team, you will operate CNC plasma cutting equipment to produce accurate, high-quality components used throughout the manufacturing process. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to work with advanced equipment, develop valuable manufacturing skills, and see your work contribute directly to the completion of every trailer.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Ability to use measuring tools and inspection equipment accurately
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work a 4-day work week (Monday to Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.)
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate CNC plasma cutting equipment in accordance with production schedules and specifications
- Load and unload sheet steel and other materials using hoists and material handling equipment as required
- Verify machine setup and material specifications prior to production runs
- Inspect completed parts for dimensional accuracy and quality after cutting
- Promptly remove, sort, and organize plasma-cut materials for downstream production processes
- Monitor raw material inventory levels and communicate requirements to the Supervisor on a daily basis
- Organize and stage parts for upcoming production projects
- Perform routine machine maintenance, inspections, and cleaning to ensure equipment reliability and performance
- Complete daily housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Ensure projects are completed efficiently to support production targets and workflow requirements
- Follow all company safety policies, Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), and required PPE standards
- Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards to the Supervisor in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
