Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, managing customer orders efficiently, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, cash handling, and hospitality operations within a lively environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems like Micros POS
- Manage cash transactions with precision, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure all food safety and food handling protocols are followed to maintain hygiene standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and creating a welcoming environment
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking practices
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist in inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in fast-paced settings
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change calculation
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of beverage recipes is a plus
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and hospitality best practices
